Missing Transactions
What to do when transactions aren't appearing
Transactions not showing up? Here's how to troubleshoot.
Transactions must have "Auto-categorized", "Manually Assigned", or "Split" status to appear in dashboard analytics. "Uncategorized" and "Needs Review" transactions are excluded from analytics until properly categorized.
Recent Transactions Not Appearing
Problem: A transaction from today or yesterday isn't showing.
Solutions:
- Wait a bit: New transactions can take up to 24 hours to appear
- Check connection: Go to Bank Connections and verify your account shows "Connected"
- Bank delay: Your bank may not have posted the transaction yet
Pending transactions are imported and shown with a "(Pending)" label. They update automatically once posted by your bank.
Older Transactions Missing
Problem: Transactions from weeks or months ago aren't showing.
Explanation:
- PropFlow imports transaction history from when you connect your account
- PropFlow requests up to 24 months of history, but most banks provide 18-24 months while some may only provide 3-6 months
- This is a bank limitation, not a PropFlow limitation
Solutions:
- Check the date range filter on your transactions page
- Ensure the correct account is selected
- Historical data availability depends on your bank
Specific Payout Not Showing
Problem: You received a payout but it's not in PropFlow.
Checklist:
- Is the correct bank account connected?
- Is the transaction visible at your bank (even if pending)?
- Is the transaction in the date range you're viewing?
- Has it been at least 24 hours since the transaction posted? (see How Transaction Syncing Works)
Transactions Disappeared
Problem: Transactions that were there before are now gone.
Possible causes:
- Applied a filter that excludes them
- Marked as excluded (check excluded transactions)
- Date range changed
- Very rare: Bank recalled the transaction
Solutions:
- Clear all filters
- Check the "Excluded" transactions section
- Expand your date range
- If still missing, wait up to 24 hours and contact support
Wrong Amount Showing
Problem: The transaction amount doesn't match your bank.
Explanation: PropFlow displays amounts exactly as provided by your bank through Plaid. If there's a discrepancy:
- Check if there were fees deducted
- Verify the transaction at your bank
- Contact support if the mismatch persists
Bank Shows Different Transactions
Problem: Your bank shows transactions that PropFlow doesn't.
Common reasons:
- Transactions in accounts that aren't linked
- Very recent transactions (sync delay — up to 24 hours for ongoing syncs)
- Transfers between your own accounts (sometimes filtered)
- If you just connected, the full historical sync can take 5-20 minutes
