Understanding your PropFlow dashboard and analytics
The dashboard is your central hub for tracking prop trading performance. It provides visual analytics, quick metrics, and recent activity at a glance.
Dashboard Layouts
PropFlow offers three customizable layouts to suit your preferences. Click the layout selector (grid icon) in the dashboard header to switch between them.

Your layout preference is saved automatically and persists across sessions.
Overview Cards
The top of your dashboard displays key metrics for the selected date range:
| Card | Description |
|---|---|
| Total Spent | Sum of all expenses (challenge fees, subscriptions, etc.) |
| Total Received | Sum of all payouts from prop firms |
| Net Total | Total Received minus Total Spent (your profit/loss) |
| Transactions | Number of transactions in the selected period |
| Accounts Bought | Number of expense transactions (challenges purchased) |
| Payouts Received | Number of payout transactions |
| ROI | Return on Investment: (Net Total / Total Spent) × 100 |
Date Range Filtering
Use the date range selector in the top-right to filter all dashboard data:
- 30 Days - Last 30 days
- MTD - Month to date
- 90 Days - Last 90 days
- 180 Days - Last 180 days
- YTD - Year to date
- All Time - No date filter
- Custom - Select specific start and end dates
The selected date range affects all dashboard components: overview cards, calendar, performance curve, and firm breakdown.
Firm Filtering
Click the firm filter dropdown to show data for specific prop firms only. This is useful when you want to analyze performance with a particular firm.
- Select one or more firms to filter
- Select "All Firms" to show everything
- Your filter selection is remembered during your session
Dashboard Components
Profit Calendar
A visual calendar showing your daily profit/loss:
- Green days - Positive net (received more than spent)
- Red days - Negative net (spent more than received)
- Gray days - No transactions
- Color intensity indicates the magnitude
Click on any day to see transaction details for that date.
Performance Curve
A line chart showing your cumulative profit over time. This helps visualize:
- Overall trend (upward = profitable)
- Consistency of earnings
- Impact of large payouts or expenses
Firm Breakdown
A pie chart showing earnings distribution by prop firm:
- See which firms contribute most to your income
- Identify your most profitable relationships
- Hover over segments for exact amounts
Recent Activity
A quick view of your most recent transactions:
- Shows the latest payouts and expenses
- Click any transaction to view details or edit
- Click "View All" to go to the full Transactions page
Tips
- Check your dashboard regularly to catch transactions that need review
- Use the YTD view during tax season for annual summaries
- Compare firm performance using the firm filter to make informed decisions about which firms to continue with
